God’s Dream Builder Video

Many have asked what is Dream Builder?

Dream Builder is for people who are hungry to know:

God

God’s Dreams, and

Want To spend life building God’s dreams.

If you look around you will notice there are two types of Christians.

Those who seek God for what He can do for them, and

those who seek God for who He is.

Problem is we all have needs, but needs must stand in line behind the dreams of God

Jesus gave us an amazing tool to organize priorities. Religious people call it the “Lords Prayer.”

Jesus said, “Our Father in Heaven: Holy is your name.”

Our priority as Christians is to know why the name of God is Holy … God’s character, personality, desires, and God’s commands.

To do that accurately we must focus in on the awesomeness of God. When focusing on a limitless God, we just can’t spend enough time. But we must know who God is, and who we are. Imagine:

God is so big He created a universe that is at least 156 Billion light years wide,

God created stars that are 1 million times … and greater … than our sun. By the way 1.3 million earths could fit in the sun.

God created solar storms so large and so forceful that scientists have no way to measure them.

God created the tiny programs that operate, build, and defend our body called genes.

God created the unseen: healing, emotions, thinking, and the supernatural.

God connected something to our bodies that may be mystery FOREVER: “LIFE”

The problem is many reduce God to something more manageable or human-like.

When our confidence is placed in a God that is any less than what God truly is, then we actually push His presence away. Not God’s omnipresence but God’s interaction and personal communication with us.

That is why many do not actually hear from God because they have created … a different god.

As we focus on the overwhelming Holiness of God, & the truth about God … we welcome God in.

When God is welcomed, it is amazing. The actual creator of our universe truly interacts and communicates great wisdom to us.

God is a spirit. We are both flesh & spirit. Unfortunately we spend most of our time learning how to operate in the flesh, not the spirit.

The problem with focusing on the flesh is the spirit is more real than the flesh.

Think about it.

A movie is not real because after 2 – 3 hours it is over.

Our lives seem so important and real because we live to 80 years.

BUT Our spirit & God’s spirit live eternally. Turns out God and our spirits are the most real thing.

When we get into the presence of God we get perspective on what is important to God.

Second in “The Lord’s Prayer” Jesus said, “Your Kingdom Come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.”

First we draw near to God

Second, God wants us to build something on earth!

God wants to give us

the ability,

the resources,

the endurance,

the perseverance, and

the character to get the job done.

God gives us the vision, and then we go on mission.

So today, we can start building the Dreams of God.

First get to know the truth about God and declare it to yourself. If God doesn’t show up. You have the wrong God.

Second When God shows up, God will reveal His Dreams to you, and God will make it possible for you to be a part of the building process.

WARNING! If you do not want to discover your God given potential, do not want your comfortable life messed up, or do not want to live an extraordinary life, then do not hang out with us.

Sorry if you like blog updates that are all done, but I wanted to get this posted, because our website is now live and people are asking for some of these stories. Work in progress. Proceed with caution.

Gift of Joy Asia:

For security reasons we can not describe all our work in Asia, but the great news is: The work is growing! Many know about how our family was moved out of Asia, but few know about how the work in Asia has grown beyond our wildest expectations.

After we left Asia we went back to the USA for about 9 months. During that time God lead us on a wild journey. We were able to make strategic connections with people in the most bizarre ways. At the end of our 9 months in the USA Anita returned to Asia to visit the children. She was impressed to find the students living in an unfinished apartment with unfinished cement floors, and the children were both sleeping and studying on the floors. Their faith and hope was tested, yet they continued to push forward, mature more, and expected an opportunity to open through their forward momentum. Their opportunity came!

During Anita’s visit she received a phone call from someone connected with one of the largest manufacturing businesses in that nation. The Christian owner of this company had heard about the Gift of Joy children. He offered to assist as much as possible. This giant manufacturing plant had a world class school. So he made us an offer. Normal tuition costs for our students would have totaled over 60,000 US$, but he offered to help set the students up, and cut their tuition costs in half.

Anita called me with great enthusiasm. For many years we had hoped to find a partnership like this to, and now the door was open, but we had a small problem. We didn’t have 30,000 US$. As Anita told me about the opportunity I could hear her tremendous excitement, and I did my best to NOT get practical. I think I said something like, “That is great. Now let’s see what happens about the $30,000.” We barely had enough money for Anita to fly to Asia, yet as we hung up the phone, we were cautiously excited.

Five minutes later I received a call on my cell phone. A man from Los Angeles called and said, “You do not know me, and I do not know you , but while you traveled around the USA you met with a friend of mine. He told me about what you have been doing for the defenseless children. What is the best way to send you $30,000?”

I laughed and said, “Are you serious?”

He responded, “Yes.”

You have to understand. Many people have promised money, and never follow through, so I had to confirm, “What is your name … number … address … email … etc.” I told him how Anita had just called and explained the opportunity for the students to study at that world class school.

He calmly said, “That is good.”

He didn’t want recognition from the gift. For us it was a major confirmation that God was looking out for those children. The children confidently pursued the promises of God, and God strongly supported them.

Now these children are growing up, have all received diplomas from that school, many have moved on to national universities, some are working and studying, and some have been equipped to carry on the work we left for them. We may not be living there, but we are returning regularly to strengthen their confidence in the character, words, & promises of God.

NOW! We are returning to RESCUE 500 defenseless children and make the Kingdom of God REAL in their lives: The orphans, the extreme poor, and street children. We may not be living in Asia, but we will now be equipping and strengthening the confidence of our leaders and the children in Asia.

Our family is shifting into an unusual new role. Our home church is in Australia, we are being sent as missionaries to my home town, so that we can make the Kingdom of God REAL in the lives of defenseless children. If you want to see more about our vision you can visit our vision page.

English House

Some have asked about English House. Once we were forced to leave Asia, English House left with us. BUT! English House appears to be at the beginning of a COMEBACK. More details will develop after our trip to Asia in February is complete. We will need a team of multimedia people, and many who want to make the Kingdom of God REAL in the lives of people studying English.

Africa

In Asia we found some cultural differences from us in the west. It seems that everything is opposite. Up is down, left is right, and we just got used to it. In Africa Up is … well … it could be anything. I have no idea what it could be. Africa greeted us with many surprises. We absolutely loved Africa. There is something about those people and the land that is so inviting.

We ended up planting in a small community called Jeffreys Bay. Jeffreys Bay was surrounded by several townships, and a huge bonus: One of the world’s best surfing destinations on the planet. Surprisingly it took me over a year before I was ever in water above my knees. Once we started holding weekly weekend camps at our home with boys from the township schools we began to discover the beach.

We worked with 20 amazing boys every weekend. Life was tough for those boys, but difficulties and adversity seem to either kill people or develop them for greatness. We found some great boys. Recently we just received a letter from Cameron and I will post that on the website at a later date.

God asked us to go back to the USA in February 2008 and we have been involved in Real Estate for the past 2 years. It was strange. For the past two years I have had an amazing journey selling real estate in one of the worst economic conditions in a very long time, yet God has given me one of the most stable Real Estate businesses in the region. Only explanation I have is God wanted to show off a little.

Now we are heading into a new phase again. God has not given me an indication that we should get out of real estate, but God has made it very clear that He wants to provide for us financially and we should put our focus back on Rescuing 500 defenseless children and making the Kingdom of God REAL in their lives.

So that is the short version. Email us with any questions, and let us know if you would like to hear the long version.

Next time you meet someone buying or selling real estate … ANYWHERE in the USA … give JR McGee a call at:

(800) 224-2631

25% of the commissions will be donated to make the Kingdom of God REAL in the lives of defenseless children. That means: on average you would help send $1,342 to rescue these children.

I personally service clients in Thurston and Lewis County in Washington State, BUT this opportunity applies anywhere in the USA.

Being one of the top agents, I know how to find a top agent. I regularly locate seasoned agents and send them business and in return they pay me 25% for this service. Now that 25% will go towards RESCUING 500 defenseless children with Gift of Joy Mission Training.

Also if people would like to give directly or additionally, that is easy. Just go to www.GiftofJoy.org to find out how. Gift of Joy is a registered non-profit organization.

Whether you give or don’t give, that will not change whether we go forward in an effort to rescue 500 defenseless children, but since many have asked, we wanted to create an opportunity for others to partner with the extraordinary things God will do.

One of my best memories is driving through bumpy dirt township roads with 15 boys and their stuff packed into my 1996 Jeep Cherokee. Usually the boys like to sing … well … shout with David Crowder’s song “We Win.” That is a great memory.

To get to that point … “OH the effort!” Faxes to the schools. Text messages to the teachers. Forms for the parents to sign. Specific instructions for the boys to prepare for the camp. When and where to wait for us.

Now I have learned. Just because we have confirmed multiple times with the school and teachers that the boys have received our information, it does not mean a thing. Now as I drive up I usually see a handful of boys ready. The others were not told by their teachers or the school. So I get to spend the next two hours locating boys scattered throughout the township. At first I was a bit scared, but now as I drive or walk around I hear people yell, “JR is here! Where is (boy’s name)?” I have become local!

I often shake my head as little boys aged 3 – 4 years of age jump into the Jeep and guide me around the township to search for the boys, and they know exactly how to find the boys. Then these little ones jump out and walk all the way home passing stumbling drunks, and no one thinks this is strange.

Once we find the boys, step one is complete. By the way … I always find the boys in positive activities. Now I take the boy to his house and he gathers his stuff because they are always excited about our camps. But the problem is their teacher didn’t give them the information to give their guardian or parent. So if I take them, no one knows where they are … this is usually not a problem for the people in the township … but we are encouraging responsibility, so they need to sign a permission slip. Now we need to find the guardian or parent.

The good thing is there is a reason these boys are outstanding. Their guardians or parents are usually pretty good people, they just live in a crazy environment. But we do have to go find them. Sometimes we have brought all the boys back to our house, waited a couple of hours, returned in the dark to the boys’ homes, found the parents, loaded up the boys and their things and celebrated.

Once we find the boys, packed their stuff, permission slips signed, then we drive for about 15 minutes to our house, and camp starts with everyone taking a shower, dinner and bedtime!

Good Times!

” It would just be better for them to try an orange, because no matter how diligently you describe the experience of eating an orange it never matches up the actually eating an orange. So just come and experience the incredible opportunity of being a part of these outstanding children in these amazing countries.

Here in South Africa we saw so many people come together.Technicians for setup, computer training schools to teach the teachers, an internet company for … internet, Rotary clubs were in the process of evaluating schools, and we could put a computer in a school for a fraction of the costs. We could save the schools 88% on building a computer lab.

A problem has been funding the shipment costs to South Africa from the USA. US$ 3000 had been donated, but we need an additional $5000. We even have a plan for the schools to help us recover the shipping costs so that we can use the initial $8000 over and over to fund following shipments of computers. But no funds from the USA or South African schools came.

BUT! It all worked out. The wife of the president of El Salvador contacted us and now those computers are being used in schools across El Salvador!

In 1998 JR left an established Real Estate business to go to Chinafor a year. When he told an older retired mentor in real estate about his plans of going to China, the response was, “What the #!?% are you thinking! You are at the top. Don’t stop now.” But one year turned into ten.

After ten years:

150,000 miles of economy air travel

3 children: born on 3 different continents

Only one wife: a really great one

Learning to speak Chinese

Caught in the midst of anti USA riots in China in 1999

Making friends with 41 Chinese secret police in 2005

25 fully committed children in China and 20 in South Africa

Training over 1000 children in Asia and Africa

Speaking before thousands of university students in China

Building the “God’s Dream Builder” system

Doing things that most people only dream about

Now we are excited to announce that we are back in real estate! The scary thing is … we are entering a horrible real estate market … but once again, if this is what God is leading us to … He must pay His bills. At the same time, I am happy to work a second job for a while until I get my business profitable again. Just let us know how we can serve.

We want to use our real estate business as a platform to serve and give back to the community: friends, family, and clients. We have five very practical and powerful tools:

1. Inviting teams to come help relieve families recovering from the massive floods.

2. “Financial Peace University”

3. “Dream Builder: Choices For Your Legacy”

4. “Character Training” and “The Kingdom of Heaven”

5. A pursuit of excellence in real estate service.

Oh by the way … if someone you know would appreciate the level of enthusiasm we have in any of those areas, just contact us.

As things developed in South Africa we became so encouraged that our desire was to keep working with the boys and see them mature into men. With all the optimism we pushed forward, however, the more determined we got and the more we pushed, the clearer it became, “A change was coming.”

There were so many road signs pointing us to Centralia, WA,USA. But we didn’t want to just quit and leave South Africa without a win! We spent the last year testing every door and checking under every stone. The work with the boys has been a success, but something inside us has been stirring us to base in Centralia WA.

Anita and I finally got away for a three day retreat in November to seek the wisdom and heart of Jesus. It quickly became clear that our season of FULL TIME overseas was ending and a passion developed inside me for building my real estate business again.

A month later the Pacific Northwest of the USA was attacked by a massive storm that wiped out 1000 homes in the Centralia area, and 7000 homes in the region. The people in that community have supported my business and Gift of Joy for years. Now it is my turn to support them. While based in theUSA we will host teams for the relief effort there and lead teams to South Africa and China.

What will happen now that we are not present in China or South Africa? Great question! We feel like we are in a maze and discovering opportunities around each corner. We just keep moving forward.

In China, most of the children will finish high school this year and three of them Karen, Jace, and Kelly are qualified to attend university overseas. My dream is that they could study at Centralia Community College, but we will see. Steven is continuing his study in South Africa. Others will work and study in China. Lucy had some of the best opportunities to study overseas but God spoke clearly to her that she needs to stay in China, work, study and make a difference there. The children in China have turned into adults.

Now they want to start their own training center helping children who come from the same conditions in which they started. We have seen them almost every six months since leaving and spent excellent time with them. We are honored by the honor they show us. They are regularly approaching us though email and SKYPE asking for advice as if we are their parents.

The 20 boys here in South Africa are: Cameron, Jawhan, Estephlyn, Curtley, Clivan, Hershal, Eljoran, Christophan, Lushane, Salvadore, Godwyn. Baloyi Rito, Netshiya Muengedzi, Ndou Lindelani Rueben, Tshivhase Rolivhuwa, Nevhulambe Fightwell, Mondlane Fumani Given, Baloyi Mashudu Simson, Tshavhudi Rendani, and Silimo Aneaho. Their ages range from 6 – 13 years.

What you need to understand is that we have gone through a multitude of boys to find these 20. These are outstanding boys. The very best!Unfortunately if they are not given any input or fathering these boys will become like the environment in which they are residing.

When we started with these boys the lessons were almost laughable: How to use the toilet, the benefits of closing the door to the toilet and how many should use the toilet at the same time. Now we have progressed to bigger and better topics like:

1. Be careful what you see, because you become what you see.

2. Work hard and become a leader. Be lazy and become a slave.

3. Every moment you make choices. Choices create your legacy. What legacy do you choose?

4. Character Training: Attentiveness, Orderliness, Virtue, Forgiveness, Obedience, Truthfulness, Sincerity, Generosity, & Gratefulness

5. “The Kingdom of Heaven” and “God’s Dream Builder”

Our plan is to bring teams back to South Africa to hold camps for these boys. If you would like to join please let us know.
